INTRODUCING PVGAS PORT
PV Gas Vung Tau port (also known as Thi Vai port) is a unit of Vung Tau Gas Processing Company - a unit under PV Gas. This is the place to store, transport, import and export LPG, condensate from Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant, condensate from Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant to supply to domestic consumers. PV Gas Vung Tau Port also performs services of importing VCM chemicals for Phu My Plastics and Chemicals Factory, exporting/importing gasoline and oil products for the Condensate Processing Factory. Currently, PV Gas port is managing and operating the liquid product pipeline system from Dinh Co Gas Processing Factory to the port; Liquid product storage and auxiliary equipment, filling station (transporting LPG liquid products from the Port to the filling station, then pumped out to tank trucks to serve the retail system); Export port, Chelsea Bridge ship contains cold LPG imported from abroad.
PV Gas Vung Tau Port includes 2 wharves, of which 1 wharf is capable of receiving ships of 2,000 DWT; The remaining wharf is capable of receiving ships of 20,000 DWT. In 2010, Vietnam Gas Corporation continued to invest in construction to increase the wharf capacity from 20,000 DWT to 60,000 DWT to be able to receive large tonnage ships carrying imported refrigerated LPG to dock at the port. This is the first and largest specialized wharf in the country to serve the import/export of refrigerated LPG and is a specialized port in the development planning of group 5 seaport system of the southern key economic region. (period 2020 - 2030), approved by the Prime Minister. The investment in increasing the capacity of PV Gas Vung Tau port also aims to meet the large specialized cargo circulation in the development strategy in the coming years. It is forecast that by 2039, the amount of goods circulating through PV Gas Vung Tau port will reach 3 million. tons/year, an increase of 2.5 times compared to the current capacity (1.2 million tons/year).
